After reading The Atlantic article about 'The Most Expensive Gif of All Time', I found it to be humorous since this art piece created by Michael Green was priced at $5,800 in 2014. Now today digital art has taken off and pieces are being sold for multimillions, so it really puts into perceptive how far the evolution of digital art has grown within society. Another interesting fact about this Gif is the fact the artist Green copied and made a mock parody of Jeff Koon's Balloon Dog Orange. This is always displayed with how Green originally priced his piece at $2,000, by that having no takers he then raised the price to $5,800.

What is interesting and funny about this art piece is that it goes to show how far digital art has blossomed and how serious digital art has become throughout the years. Today NFT’s have taken over the digital art world since it is accessible for anyone. What makes NFT’s so unique is only one artist can claim ownership and reprice the NFT to ETH, ethereum.

The most expensive NFT created is the Everydays: The First 5000 Days, illustrated by the digital artist Mike Winkelmann (aka Beeple), was sold for a record high of $69.3 million, making it the most expensive NFT to date. In fact, it's one of the most expensive artworks that have ever been sold. As well as the collection Bored Apes are an extremely successful brand. This represents how progressive digital art has become.
